Privacy Policy

The LawStore Group of companies including Conveyancing Queensland wishes to ensure that all of our customers can access our products with complete confidence. Because of the nature of our products and the services we supply to you we are required to collect and collate personal or sensitive information to complete the tasks allotted to us.

We understand that some people are reticent about disclosing or transmitting such personal or sensitive information of a personal nature across the web so we guarantee

  1. That information provided to us during the course of your transaction will only be used in the processing of your transaction and for no other purpose
  2. We are not involved in the selling, trading or alternative unauthorised use of personal information.
  3. We promise that we will not pass any of your personal details to any third party or any other another organisation not involved in your transaction without your prior consent in writing.

From time to time, we may provide statistical information about sales, trading patterns and navigation techniques to reputable third parties. This will simply comprise generic data collected during the course of transactions. It will not include any direct personal information that identifies you as our customer.

By using the Conveyancing Queensland site, you are consenting to the collection of information to be used by The LawStore Group only for the transaction which you instruct them to undertake on your behalf.

You may still be reticent to transmit the required information across the web and so understanding this we are happy to communicate with you by the more traditional means of fax phone or post. Our privacy policy applies to collection of all information by us regardless of the means you divulge it to us.

Your personal information is privileged and will be treated as such by us.

Any changes to our information collection policies will be posted on this page.

Electronic Funds Transfer

Some of the transactions that we will be involved with involve considerable sums of money. The purchase of real estate is often the largest single transaction undertaken by an individual. As such we understand that you may be reluctant to commit to the use of your credit card on the Internet and so we have provided alternative methods of payment for your peace of mind.

All payments received by you are deposited to a trust account in your name and are only drawn upon as needed to fund your transaction and authorised by you. The operation of our trust account is fully audited and governed by the appropriate legislation

You will realise that due to these Trust Account Regulations some of our approved methods of payment require additional time delays for us to clear the funds. We ask your assistance and cooperation in attending to payment promptly to allow us (where appropriate) this additional time to clear your funds.

Credit Card Transactions

In the event of unauthorised use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures. Under the conditions of your credit card, your bank may have a limit on your liability if a fraudulent transaction occurrs.

Security

We assure you that we have taken every possible measure to give absolute security to our customers in their dealings with us. To enable us to do this we have created a secure transaction environment for commerce on the Internet.

Our e-commerce system uses Secure Sockets Layer technology (SSL) to ensure your shopping experience is safe, sound and secure at all times

SSL locks all information passed from you to The LawStore in an encrypted envelope. This makes it almost impossible to be intercepted by an unauthorised party, as long as your browser and local network support the use of encrypted data transmissions
